Crystal of the Month: Larimar!
We have reached the halfway point of 2017! Time sure has been flying by, but we can always pause to enjoy the beauties, and heat, of summer! Whether it is enjoying a day out at the pool or joining the festivities of Fourth of July, summer time has a lot to offer when it comes to fun and relaxation; even if all we can do is sit by a fan to cool off! During these weeks of summer, it is also important we listen to our bodies and know when we need to take a breather and “cool down,” and here at Mystic Valley we want to offer you the perfect stone: Larimar!

Even though Larimar is known as a water element crystal, it also carries properties of fire element since it is a product of volcanic activity. It is one of the few crystals able to balance opposite energies. Because of this, Larimar can aid as a soothing anti-inflammatory, cool down tempers, and cleanse our burning emotions ~ as it works with our physical and emotional states. It simmers down emotions and reduces muscle tensions or spasms. With it being a blue stone, it is also terrific for healing and helping our throat chakra to communicate clearly and speak from our hearts, as well ~.

It is also an excellent crystal to keep within our homes. Larimar can assist with bringing in a pleasant, serene atmosphere, relieve stress, and continue our relaxation ~. The crystal is also known as a goddess stone, so it is valuable during pregnancy, the birthing process, as well as post-partum, and it is beneficial for healers or caretakers to use within their work.

So, if you decide to head out and brave the heat, or want a relaxing, cool day inside enjoying a beverage from Mystic Valley’s coffee bar, Larimar is a great companion to have regardless of where you choose to be during the summer! Just remember to stay hydrated, put on sunscreen, and keep a happy, helpful crystal at your side!

The event kicks off with a parade at Railroad Street, traveling north on Sutton to Saratoga Lanes at 6:30 pm, with Heidi Glaus and Dana Dean of KSDK’s Show Me St. Louis as Parade Marshals!
